Aside from many opportunities to volunteer at school events, charity events, and other activities, the Texas 861st offers Cadets the chance to participate in several clubs and teams afterschool. Some teams even offer the opportunity to 'letter' at WHS or earn other honors.
The teams include:
- Rocketry
- Cyber Patriot
- Academics Bowl
- Color Guard/Drill Team
Major Sandlin is also working toward the creation of Marksmanship, Orienteering, and PT Teams. More details on these groups will follow as they are available.
